Job: Employability Development Worker

20hrs per week

Yemeni Community Association require an individual who will be responsible for developing a demand led employability provision in Burngreave.

The successful candidate will work to increase the capacity of existing local organisations to deliver employment related services. They will identify and understand local and citywide provision around employability.

Strong inter-personal skills are required for this post as is the ability to work as part of a team and to be self motivated.

Whilst managed by the YCA, the successful candidate will report back to and be steered by the Burngreave Adult Learning Working Group.

Essential Personal Qualities of the Post Holder

This is a demanding and challenging post playing a key part in the continuing success, development and expansion of adult employability training across the City.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic individual, who has an understanding of working in the voluntary and community sector and must have an understanding of employability services. They will be clear-sighted, able to meet challenges head-on, with the ability to identify new opportunities, exploiting them to the best advantage for the Burngreave area. He or she will possess the ability to interact with people at all levels. A strategic forward thinker, with a positive “can do”, approach, together with the ability to work with, and motivate others is essential.
