Community Activity Leader x 6 Temporary until 31/03/2013

Grade 6 – £22,958 – £27,052 pro-rata, per annum

Location: Carbrook Site, 2 10 Carbrook Hall Road, Sheffield.

Hours: 4×30 hour posts, 1×25 hour post and 1 18.5 hour post

Closing Date: 11th July 2012

The prime purpose of the job is to assist in the planning, organisation and delivery of a wide range of sport, play, environment, culture, arts, and physical activity programmes and projects to meet the needs of the local community.

This will take place at Activity Sheffield facilities and at a variety of community settings at key times including evenings, weekends, and school holiday periods.

This will require flexible working hours, and seasonal activity demands to meet the needs of our customers.

Scope of work

Raise the profile of positive activities by organising promoting and delivering community and city programmes, meeting the needs of the customer

Support the management of Activity Sheffield facilities

Liaise, support and assist in the development of staff, volunteers and placements

Support partnership initiatives to increase positive activity opportunities

Support and deliver income generating initiatives

Record and report performance management information

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
