As part of Ethnic Minority Cancer Awareness Week, the SADACCA Centre will be hosting an information evening on Tuesday, 3rd July 2012, 7pm – 9pm
Talks will be given by members of the medical profession and a cancer survivor. This is an opportunity to:
Learn about the signs and symptoms of cancer.
Gain information on possible preventions and treatments.
Listen to local people share their experience of living with cancer.
Guest speakers:
Rose Thompson – Director of BME Cancer Communities in Nottingham. Radiographer with over 26 years clinical experience in London and the Midlands.
Dr Anthony Gore – Primary Care Cancer Lead Clinician at NHS Sheffield and a GP at Woodseats Medical Centre, Sheffield.
Fay Moriaty – BME Breast Cancer Study Researcher, Sheffield University.
Iona Wynter – Breast Cancer Survivor.
Light refreshments will be available.
