Police cordon off Burngreave Road after stabbing

Burngreave Road was cordoned off for several hours on Friday 20th April, after a young man was stabbed. The Police told the Messenger,

“Officers are currently investigating a wounding, which occurred around 6.20pm on Friday 20 April 2012 in the Rock Street and Burngreave Road area of Sheffield. As a result, of the incident an 18-year-old man sustained a stab wound to his leg and chest.”

Police stated that the young man's injuries were “not believed to be life threatening” and they believe it was a targeted attack. As the Messenger goes to press the police had not made any arrests.
