Firvale Family, Food and Film Event

Story: Rashida Hassanali

Fir Vale’s thriving parents group CASP (Community & School Partnership) once again provided delicious food and entertainment for the local community on a rainy Sunday afternoon in April.

With popcorn, candyfloss, and drinks available in the Theatre, there was a real ‘cinema’ feel to the event.

Over 150 people came along to enjoy a free film, which was chosen by the audience from a selection on the day. As each film name was called out, the audience cheered for their favourite… Puss In Boots won!

The parents group raised useful funds for their future work and families had an inexpensive night at the cinema!

Everyone was very positive and CASP will definitely consider doing this sort of event again. To get involved in our next event come along to the next CASP meeting on Tuesday 3rd July, 9.30-10.30am at Fir Vale School, or contact Rashida Hassanali 07535 484 372.
