Community First

Community First is a governmentfunded initiative that will run for four years and will help fund both new and existing community groups.

There has been an amazing response. 85 groups have applied for a share of the funding in the Burngreave ward for Year 1. The Community First Panel has had difficult decisions to make. The total bids for this ward exceeded £170,000 and the allocation for Year 1 was only £33,744.

Another round of funding will open soon for Year 2 (2012/13) and more information can be found about deadlines and application forms on burngreavecommunityfirst.com
