Languages Sheffield HoLA (Home Languages Accreditation) Project

Invite applications for the post of Programme Officer to service Languages Sheffield’s role as the Accountable Body for the new Home Languages Accreditation project (HoLA).

PROGRAMME OFFICER – part time, temporary for 3 years

Salary: PO1 Point 35, 0.3 FTE

Hours of work: 11 hours per week

The post is located in central Sheffield in the offices of Languages Sheffield.

The main responsibility of the post holder will be for financial programmes systems and procedures and the ongoing monitoring and reporting on the project budget on behalf of all partners and stakeholders.

S/he will be the main contact for funding agencies and assist the Project Manager in identifying possible sources of income and support. There will also be general administrative, support and coordination duties.

Applicants should have qualifications, knowledge and experience in financial administration, including forecasting, monitoring and the development of financial policies and procedures.

In addition, experience of project work in the voluntary / community sector, especially in diverse communities, including the planning of events, is considered to be an important qualification.

Candidates will be expected to show an ability to use ICT effectively, especially for financial monitoring and accountability.

They should be a good communicators, have the ability to form good working relationships rapidly with a variety of partners and stakeholders and enjoy working independently and as part of a team.

An interest in languages learning would be an additional qualification.
