Sculptor Jason Thomson will be talking about the designs for his latest work at the next meeting of the Friends of Parkwood Springs.
Jason was responsible for the Boy and Bird statute at the Rutland Road edge of Parkwood Springs, a work of art that catches the eyes of motorists as they reach the brow of Rutland Rd.
The meeting will be a chance for Jason to hear ideas from those attending. A short AGM will follow this, and will elect a new committee for the year.
The meeting is on Wednesday 18th May at 7pm at St Catherine's School, Firshill Crescent,
If you are interested in getting a bit more involved with the Friends of Parkwood Springs, please put yourself forward! You could contact Neill Schofield (272 4499 or neill.schofield@googlemail.com) or just come to the meeting.
Sue Biggerstaff, who shares the Secretary's job says,
“We are a friendly bunch, and the meetings are interesting and usually quite short.”
