Two events are taking place on Wednesday 8th June, organised by the Friends of Parkwood Springs, from 5pm onwards.
The first session is an opportunity to find out more about the plans for improving the gateway to Parkwood Springs at Shirecliffe Road/Cooks Wood Road. There will be a marquee at the Heliport Entrance to Parkwood Springs (near the car park) from 5pm to 7pm, with a display of what our artist Jason Thomson has designed, and the chance to talk to Jason and others about what is planned. This is an important opportunity to find out what is happening, so please come, and please let friends and people who live locally know. Everybody is welcome.
There will also be opportunities for some short walks round with Jon Sharrocks from the Ranger Service who can tell us more about the history of the site.
Then, at 7pm, a short, evening walk has been organised to hear about progress with the Forest Garden on Parkwood.
Community Forester, Ed Thatcher, and others involved in the planning and design will tell us all about what has happened so far, and the plans for the future.
The meeting point is at Little Pear Tree Field, just off Cookswood Rd, at 7pm.
