In celebration of World Environment Day 5th June 2011
Wildflowers have a variety of uses including the herbal, medicinal and culinary. Hellen Hornby, Burngreave's Blue Loop River Steward, will be leading a talk on Wildflowers and the common myths and magical connections that surround them.
The event will explore the many uses of Wildflowers and offer a chance to forage for samples along the canal and even try a herbal brew. The talk will also look at what other edible plants grow on the Blue Loop (Sheffield canal).
This event is suitable for families, community groups and interest groups. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
Meet at the Wicker Arches, 2pm
