For the second year running Grimesthorpe Allotment Society held a bonfire, ‘Grimesfire’ and meal to celebrate May 1st and the start of the growing season.
It was a well attended celebration and enjoyed by adults and children alike. The children especially enjoyed being able to ‘play’ around the bonfire in a safe environment. The food was superb, created by a small team of friends who enjoyed working together to bring about a fun evening for everyone. We are all looking forward to next years fire as this event has become a tradition now.
