Temporary Cook required immediately at Firvale Pre-School, Earl Marshal Road, Sheffield S4 7LA.
Hours of work
20 hours per week
Monday – Friday
Term time only
Rate of pay
£6.00 per hour (subject to review after satisfactory 3 month probation period)
Duties to include:
Preparation and cooking, healthy, balanced meals and snacks appropriate for children aged 6 months to 5 years old
To be responsible for the monthly and weekly shopping and have the ability to work within a budget, keep accurate records, stock control etc.
Ensure that health and safety practice and general hygiene within the kitchen is of a high standard
The ability to cook a variety of meals that reflect the multicultural, diverse community of the preschool
Skills and experience:
Experience of cooking for groups is essential
Candidates should have an awareness of equal opportunities and child protection procedures
Candidates should be willing to undertake further appropriate training as necessary
Candidates will be required to undertake a CRB check
A Basic Food Hygiene certificate is desirable
Own or access to transport is desirable
