Wensley Bulb Planting

Wensley Blub Plant
Wensley Blub Plant

Story: David Wilkinson

Thanks to Wensley TARA, a wide range of age groups came together on the Wensley estate on Tuesday, 1st November to plant hundreds of spring bulbs.

It was a gloriously warm, sunny day when pupils from Owler Brook School joined up with members of Sheffield Homes, Steve Shipley PCSO and Wensley TARA – who organised it all.

The crocus and daffodil bulbs, were provided free by Sheffield City Council and will look really good next spring.

And there was a special surprise appearance of Homesy – Sheffield Homes’ mascot – who helped out with the planting.
