Romano Jilo dancers have performed at many of this year’s festivals. Every year their act gets better, and now the young people have been recognised for all the extra hours they put in.
Sheffield Children’s University awarded each dancer with an individual certificate to recognise the time and effort put into rehearsing and performing. The Certificates were presented at the Burngreave Ward meeting by local councillors, and show the number of hours the dancers have spent learning in their free time.
Penny Rea from the Children’s University said, “Hopefully this is just the start of the lifelong journey in learning that will lead to a successful future.”
