Story: Diane Johnson
As a parent, of a child who attends Pye Bank school. I was proud to go to the summer fair. It is a lovely school. It was so nice to see the community pull together to support the school.
An abundance of mixed culture, meant a whole delicious range of food to choose from.
It shows how despite there may be cultural differences, during an event everyone can pull together as one. This is the sort of event we need to see more of.
My son Simon Johnson said " i liked it mum, i wish it could be done more often".
There was one thing i tried, which I usually wouldn't dream of tasting. It was Diane's smoothies. They were absolutely gorgeous, made with fresh fruit.
Once again a massive thumbs up to all the staff and parents who made this work, and a big thank you for an enjoyable afternoon.
