Another year, another great Party in the Park at Devon Gardens on Saturday 9 July, with plenty of local people and to top it all, the weather blessed us with bright sunshine!
Activity Sheffield organised great games and activities for the local children, and neighbours and residents came out in force, bringing all sorts of delicious home-made dishes to share.
The Friends of Devon Gardens held their Annual General Meeting, with reports from chairman John Chapman, treasurer Mir Khan and secretary Phil Jakob. Last year the park was awarded a prestigious Green Pennant and we are waiting to hear the results of this year’s re-assessment visit. The Friends have held a number of clear-up sessions and bulb planting events during the year, to ensure the park stays looking beautiful all year round.
