Priscilla Waring has recently opened her own hair salon at the former BCAF office on Spital Hill. Known as “Cassy's Salon”, it provides a comprehensive service for men, women and children of all cultures.
Priscilla first began learning about hairdressing from her mother as a 9-year-old child in Zimbabwe, although at that time she never thought it would become a career. Five years ago she started a mobile hairdressing service, visiting people in their own homes, before finding permanent premises. She is clearly enthusiastic about providing a service that meets customers' wishes for whatever style they choose, in a friendly and welcoming environment.
As well as her hairdressing business, Priscilla leads a busy life, doing part-time work as a residential care assistant and studying with the Open University for a qualification in relationship counselling – clearly a valuable extra skill for a hairdresser!
