His people need to find a way to move around their new planet without polluting it, so would like to investigate how animals and people on Earth move around. As all the scientists on Earth appear busy he asked for our help.
All week the children have been involved in Science projects to answer this problem. The whole school have been involved, doing experiments and investigations, researching animals and trialling different ideas.
Mr Surridge Assistant Head Teacher said:
“Any visitors to our school this week would have found children making
rockets powered by water, cars powered by balloons or elastic bands, and turbines powered by the wind. Pupils have suggested what the alien’s skeleton might look like and have tried to copy different animal movements to try and find one which is suitable for Mr Zingcroll. They have learnt all about the Solar System and experimented with friction.
“It has been a fantastic and fun week, but at the heart of everything has been science – giving the children a chance to investigate different problems and, hopefully, helping them see how fascinating and varied science can be.”
