The football season has got underway for local Pitsmoor and Burngreave based football club, Earl Marshall Juniors.
Expectations are high, especially with the club expanding to five teams. The newly established Under 8s team, comprising year 3 players from local schools, couldn’t wait to put on their new kit as they got ready to face Ecclesall Rangers for their first game of the season.
The new Under 14s team, previously known as Burngreave Saints, now also play in the familiar yellow and blue strip of Earl Marshall Juniors, with their kit provided by the Burngreave Building Company. Gary Adshead, the company’s Head of Business development said, “We wanted to support a local football team, and some of our staff had connections with Earl Marshall Football Club so we are pleased to support them with their kit and extra football resources”. Gary and his colleagues will be pleased to hear that the Under 14s have made an excellent start and are currently 4th in Division A.
