Follow Rob Smith on his journey in Africa learning about the lives of distant relatives and the slave trade.

Part One – Now on sale for £5 from Burngreave Wine Shop on Burngreave Rd / Catherine St

Rob says,

“Using only written words and music to describe this passage from Sheffield to Ghana’s Gold Coast, I retrace the path of my Great-Great Grandparent who had been bound in chains by hand and foot.”

This movie captures The Fortress Dungeons, slave baths, crocodile swamps and other places of historical importance concerning the transatlantic slave trail and the reason why we do not return to the Gold Coast.

All filmed on location in Ghana, West Africa.
