As is traditional now, Grimesthorpe allotments held their plant sale in May, in time for gardeners to purchase some all important additions for their vegetable plots.
The glorious weather brought residents and allotmenteers together to exchange plants, drink tea and eat cake. Money raised from the sale will help Grimesthorpe Community Garden Group to maintain the kitchen and toilets for plot holders to use.
The next allotment event is planned for the 11th September.
