Why is the Sheffield Development Framework (SDF) important?

The SDF will affect how land in our area will be used during the next 10-15 years This is important for Burngreave, as there is now a lot of empty land to develop. The SDF will be referred to when planning applications are put in, so it will influence whether housing or other developments get planning permission. It should also protect our green spaces from development.

Housing at Ellesmere Road

Plans for the first Council housing to be built in Burngreave for many years have been submitted to the Council planning department. Just two consultation events took place on designs for the Ellesmere road development. The Council have said that further consultation will take place following planning approval.
