Green space projects

An Update on two projects that form part of the North East Community Assembly Plan that will ‘Improve Parks and Green Spaces’ and ‘Provide More things for children and young people to do’:

  • Play area at Denholme Close. Chris Roebuck, Project Dev Officer for Parks and Countryside has met with the PITS project and with other local young people to discuss the design of new play equipment for this area. If you want to get in touch about this project the telephone number is 273 5604.

  • The new Osgathorpe Youth Shelter is almost ready to install. The design was based on sessions carried out by the artists (Coralie and Amanda) with the Fir Vale Youth Group and a local lunch club. It is planned to install it mid June above the playground.
