Job: Study Support English and Maths tutors

Has vacancies for: English and Maths tutors for secondary age pupils and a primary school age tutor

We have opportunities to tutor groups of young people primarily from ethnic minorities in Burngreave. After-school/weekend study support is an exciting opportunity to help young people reach their full potential in a relaxed but focussed learning environment that enables pupils to take control of their learning.

The work will be in 2 or 3 hour sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings and at weekends on Saturday and Sunday, during term times.

Pay at £18.50 per hour

How to apply

Application should be by letter, indicating:

  1. Your experience of teaching (especially with inner city pupils and pupils from black and minority ethnic backgrounds) .

  2. Why you are interested in delivering Study Support tutoring

  3. Which sessions you are interested in teaching:

    • Mondays 5 – 7pm

    • Tuesdays 5 – 7pm

    • Saturdays 12 – 3pm

    • Sundays 12 – 3pm

Applicants should be qualified teachers and have an up to date Criminal Records Bureau check and Child Protection training, though this may be available through the project.
