Local resident and promoter Kevin from Rollout Promotion, is planning an event in Black History month after an event to celebrate the birthday of Haile Selassie at Spital Hill Plaza was delayed.
Originally planned for 23rd of July, the event’s Temporary Event License received objections from the Police. Following discussions with the organisers the Police have decided to support and cooperate with the organisers for future events. Kevin said,
“I decided to retract the submission of the license after all the negative publicity on the Star. They said a lot of things that weren’t true. But now I’m looking to put on a positive event in October to mark Black History month and we will work with the police to make sure it all runs smoothly this time.”
