Young people were spoiled for choice this summer, with a great list of activities to enjoy with Sheffield Futures’ Streetworx.
More than 200 young people took part in fun activities such as cinema trips, cycling and a Playstation competition. They also took time to develop their skills, learning about radio presenting, taking up athletics and raising their awareness of gun and knife crime issues.
The Streetworx team supported a wide range of young people from diverse backgrounds, who got on well with each other throughout the summer. The highlight of the summer were the events in Nottingham Cliff Park, which were blessed with good weather and support from local parents, who helped provide free food for the whole community. Music and activities brought the Park to life for families, residents and young people alike.
