Mobilty Scam

In June 2009 we reported on residents’ concerns about companies selling mobility equipment at extortionate prices and falsely claiming to be from social services.

We wish to make clear that the company named Optimum Mobility Ltd, of Wiltshire, was not connected to the scam in any way.

Residents should still remain vigilant about sales calls, especially as scammers may misrepresent themselves as legitimate companies. Residents can check companies by contacting the British Healthcare Traders Association and asking if they are registered. Call 0207 702 2141
