Family Learning Fun Day at the Old Firth Park Library

Community North Forum (CNF) is looking to extend the training and activity programme at the Old Firth Park Library. We want to find out what type of training courses, activities and events local people would like us to offer.

We are hosting a Family Learning Fun Day where we will be offering a number of taster sessions so visitors can ‘have a go’ and find out more about a range of interesting activities. Qualified tutors and staff will be around on the day to offer practical sessions, advice and information on the following activities:

  • Craft Skills and Sewing

  • Health and Safety

  • Healthy Eating

  • Make Up Artistry

  • Food Hygiene

  • Family History

  • Computers for Beginners

  • Advice Services

  • Childcare Training

  • First Aid

  • Nail Art

  • Digital Media Training

If enough people tell us they want to come back for more then we’ll do our best to make sure courses and regular sessions are available in the near future.

In addition, we will be holding a ‘Volunteers Workshop’ on the day where anyone interested in doing some voluntary work with a local organisation or project can find out more about the benefits of volunteering and how to get involved!

To keep the young ones entertained, there will be large screen video games (Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3), face painting, circus skills workshops and free Internet access.

This event is open to everyone and everything is FREE including refreshments, so please call in for a cuppa, a chat and a look around!

For more information about this event or any of CNF’s services then please contact Ian Wardle, CNF Development Manager on 0114 243 7906 or info@cnfsheffield.org.uk.
