Job: Football Development Officer

North East Football Development Officer

Activity Sheffield has successfully gained funding from the Football Foundation to appoint a Football Development Officer to operate within the North East area of Sheffield for two years.

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual with a minimum FA Level two qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in developing and co-ordinating large scale community projects, flexible to meet the demands of community expectations. The project will target football provision for; children, adults, women and girls, BME groups, people with disabilities and refugees and asylum seekers.

The post holder will be expected to support the development of local teams and clubs to enhance sustainability of football activities via funding information, development planning, relevant training, volunteer development, and sign posting to other means of support and supporting the attainment of charter standard.

This post involves substantial access to children and so the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal conviction record police check.

  • 37 hours per week

  • Salary £22,730 (Grade SUG 5 / SCP 27)

  • Temporary: Funding secured for 2 years
