Carwood TARA held another of their Hanging Basket Days On 6th June. Despite the poor weather, people turned out to have their empty baskets refilled with an abundance of colourful plants, all for only £5.00.

Following repairs, the community centre will reopen for use from Thursday 23rd July, when the TARA host the first of many regular coffee mornings, 11am till 1pm.

Unfortunately the TARA' s plans to hold luncheon clubs and other food events have been dashed due to the lack of an extra wash hand basin being installed when the kitchen was refurbished. Consequently the brand new cooker must be removed in order to meet health and safety requirements.

A series of summer trips have been organised by the TARA. – A free walk from Endcliffe Park to Forge Dam on 28th July. Meet at Endclffe Park cafe at 11am. Sorry no unaccompanied children under 16.

-Thoresby Market, 9th August. – The Butterfly Farm at Anston, 13th August. Tickets for both of these will be on sale from the TARA office 22 Carwood Green, Tuesdays 4.30pm till 5.30pm. Further details and ticket prices from 0114 243 3192
