Through recent surveys carried out in Burngreave, Firth Park and Shiregreen we asked you what crimes concern you the most.

You told us that burglary, robbery and drug dealing should be some of the top priorities for the police.

Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team and partners have listened to these views, taken action and achieved the following results.

89 fewer victims of burglary and 56 fewer victims of robbery in 2008

46 warrants executed in connection with drug dealing so far this year

In 2008 overall crime fell in the area, resulting in 673 fewer victims of crime compared with 2007.
