Priorities from recent PACT meetings

The priorities identified at the Burngreave PACT meeting on the 4th February were antisocial behaviour and shoplifting at the shops at the top of Barnsley Road.

In response, we conducted high visibility foot patrols in the area and spoke to a number of people in the streets. Parent Advisory Letters were issued to parents of a number of youths, which warned of potential for Anti Social Behaviour Orders being served. This is the first step towards becoming involved in the ASBO process and is often enough of a deterrent to stop this behaviour. Two offenders have also been identified and arrested in relation to shoplifting offences.
