Planning a Novel
For aspiring novelists who need to work more closely on the structure of their work and approach writing a novel in a professional manner. Sessions will combine workshops and one-to-one tutorials. (10hrs)

Towards Publication
For those wishing to approach agents and editors with a view to publishing first novels. Practical workshops will consider the relationship between editors, agents and writers and look at strategies for making an impact. Time will be allocated to one-to-one tutorials. (10hrs)

Advanced Poetry
An opportunity for committed poets to move their writing on. Workshops, focusing on creating clear, vivid poems and discussion of work in progress, will be combined with one-to-one tutorials. (10hrs)

Working Towards a Collection
For poets wishing to develop and refine a sequence, pamphlet or first collection. Workshops focus on reading and writing new poems as well as developing revision skills. Time will be allocated for one-to-one tutorials.(10hrs)

You are required to submit a sample of your writing (c.2000) words for prose, or 3 poems) at least one week before the course starts so the tutor can get a sense of your work.
