Enhancing Pathways into Care for Somali service users and their families

The launch event of EPIC 3 (Enhancing Pathways into Care) will be held at the Vestry Hall in Burngreave on 25th July 2008.

  • Food & Refreshment provided

  • Travel expenses reimbursed if needed

  • Crèche available for children aged 6 months and over

Key note Speakers:

  1. Melba Wilson, National Director for the Delivering Race Equality Programme

  2. Kevan Taylor, Chief Executive Sheffield Care Trust

  3. Saeed Abdi, Manager, Somali Mental Health Project

  4. Rashna Hackett, Race Equality Lead: North East Yorkshire and the Humber Regional CSIP

The aims for EPIC 3 are:

  1. To improve the service experiences of the Somali mental health service users

  2. To assist the Somali community to access to services when they need them

  3. To ensure the health and social care needs of Somali service users and their families are met

  4. To ensure mental health service providers provide for the specific needs of Somali community
