The community is sick and tired of the rise in drugs and gun crime, and the negativity surrounding its community and young people.
“The senseless killing of Jonathan Matondo, Ibrahim Ilyas and Younis Khan has given rise to strong feelings to reclaim our community.”
The organisers, including local groups and churches, are appealing to all communities, cultures, religious orders, schools, youth groups and sympathisers to come and support this demonstration.

For more information about the reasons behind the march, see Maureen Griffith's article, “United we stand, divided we fall”.
