Dark Times - a poem by Moshin Khan
By Moshin Khan
Cars parked on concrete roads still all red with your blood
Grim houses filled with tortured ghosts,
Cold roads so dark and straight
Bear testament, to human hate.
As darkness came down on this earth
Devils hidden in the dark.
Cowards with hidden face; for darkness fills their hearts?
Can our minds now imagine?
The courage that you showed
or begin to comprehend the coldness of the steel?
The terror, pain and suffering on your own.
Dark times that you had to face
of the life that here did they take
the innocence of children that they raped
a brother's scream that shook the earth
A father's fear that stopped all time
a mothers feet washed in blood
As you took your last breath on this earth
your blood shall be washed away with a mother's tears
a mother's love which will never end
A mother's love so untold,
Were but an inconvenience to human hearts so cold.
Yet still today they walk around
as each is sure they've got away
and when God's wrath shall surely strike,
and the angel of death shall come to collect ,
each one shall run for his life
for each one shall surely pay
for the blood they have on their hands
a mother's heart shall never mend
a mother's pain and tears that reached the sky
that made God himself look down on earth and cradle our brother in is his arms for god has took what is his
For heaven is where he now lives, today with his funny laugh and cheeky smile, looking at us here down on earth wishing us the very best for sadness fills all our hearts
Forget him we shall not for he surely was a great son, brother, nephew, uncle and a great friend
