Firshill TARA held its annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 14th June at Roe Lane Community Centre. The Fayre was well-attended, with around 60 people turning up to enjoy the many activities there. There were a selection of stalls on offer, including a tombola, a raffle with over 30 different prizes including speedway tickets and a tin of Quality Street, a name the teddy bear stall, a treasure hunt, and stands with information from the police and the community wardens.

The fayre was opened by Councillor Jackie Drayton, who wore one of her trademark hats with a matching skirt suit. The event was one of the last to be hosted in the community centre before its scheduled demolition during this summer.

In all, over £250 was raised. This will go towards funding the TARA’s future activities.
