In response to the recent shootings and the death of Jonathan Matondo several meetings have been called.
Vigil to remember Jonathan
There will be a vigil in Nottingham Cliff Park, where Jonathan was killed, at 5pm on Wednesday 24th October.
Meeting at the Vestry Hall
Later there will be a public meeting organised the newly formed African and African Caribbean Committee (AACC), who will be discussing what action can be taken following the recent shootings. The meeting will be at the Vestry Hall, Burngreave Road, at 6.30pm, Wednesday 24th October.
Gathering at the Seventh Day Adventist Church
Seventh Day Adventist Church, who are holding a public meeting at their church on Andover Street (near Pye Bank School) Thursday 25th October at 7pm, everyone is welcome. A representative of Mother's Against Violence will be a guest speaker. It is hoped the meeting can bring the community together to find a way forward.
AACC and the Seventh Day Adventist Church are working together to find solutions. Future activities will be planned in these meetings, which could include a march and youth conference. Details will be on this website when they are available.
