Women's Lives as Refugees and Asylum Seekers

All women welcome.

This event offers opportunities to hear from refugee and asylum-seeking women themselves and to participate in workshops around specific issues affecting women.

Refugees and asylum seekers often face harassment and other forms of discrimination. This is frequently due to a lack of factual information about refugees, and lack of opportunities for people to meet refugees face-to-face and hear about their experiences and how they contribute to British society.

REACT (Refugees Extending Awareness through Communication and Training) promotes positive images of refugees and asylum seekers and raises awareness of issues they face.

The Quaker Meeting House is a fully accessible venue.
