Police letter to residents

Dear resident,

You will be aware that on 14th March 2007, a serious incident occurred in this area which resulted in the tragic death of a local resident.

Officers from your local SNA (Safer Neighbourhood Area) are aware of the impact on the community, however, incidents of this nature are very rare.

A special major incident team based at Attercliffe Police Station have launched a full investigation and Detectives are working very hard to determine who was responsible.

Officers from your local SNA , which includes CSO’s (Community Support Officers) are also patrolling the area to assist with the investigation, provide a visible presence and reassure residents. Please do not be alarmed by this increased police activity, our aim is to make you feel safer in your community.

To assist with the investigation, we would like to hear from you if you have any information, no matter how small about the incident.
