The Star reports: Police raid 30+ bar

The Sheffield Star newspaper has recently carried reports on a police raid and 18 arrests at the 30+ bar on Carlisle Street in the early hours of Saturday morning, 21st July 2007.

A Sheffield bar has been shut down after more than 100 police officers stormed the building and recovered knives, machetes, drugs and a gun from the premises. Dozens of revellers were searched during the raid at the 30+ bar on Carlisle Street, Burngreave, at 2.45am this morning.

18 bailed after club drugs raid

Revellers arrested at a late night Sheffield bar on suspicion of drug offences have all been released on bail pending forensic tests. Around 100 police officers stormed the 30+ bar on Carlisle Street, Burngreave. South Yorkshire Police said the operation centred on the drug trafficking trade, and a quantity of drugs, weapons and a firearm were recovered, but forensic test results are needed to confirm exactly what the substances are.
