Women In Leadership Co-ordinator

South Yorkshire Women's Development Trust is appointing a part-time Women In Leadership Coordinator to be based in the Rotherham office with frequent travel required across South Yorkshire. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, to coordinate with training partners, women's groups and organisations to ensure effective development and delivery of the Women In Leadership training programme.

  • Location: Rotherham

  • Hours: 18.5 hours per week

  • Salary: NJC- 26 £20,895 (pro rota)

  • Six month contract (pending funding)

  • Responsible to: The Business and Operations Manager of SYWDT

  • Closing Date: Thursday 3rd May 2007

Purpose of the post

To establish a high standard of training throughout the Trust, and to co-ordinate the Academy for Community Leadership project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate with training partners, women’s groups and organisations to ensure effective development and delivery of training programmes to meet the needs of women in line with contractual agreements.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive delivery plan to ensure training is delivered to the standard of the Common Inspection Framework in line with the Adult Learning Inspectorate, including Management Information Systems, PQASSO Quality Assurance and Health and Safety

  • Co-ordinate the gathering of all relevant evidence from women’s groups organisations and Trust’s training programmes which will form the monthly monitoring reports to funders as per contract.

  • Coordinate community trainers to enable them to meet required outputs.

  • Monitor and help maintain budgets associated with the Academy for Community Leadership programme delivery

  • Represent the Project on appropriate Voluntary Sector Training and Education bodies that currently do not have representation from the Trust.

  • Attend meetings with staff and Board members to develop the work of the SYWDT, and attend and prepare monthly progress reports.

Essentials

  • Proven experience in course development and delivery in Community or Further Education Experience, understanding and commitment to women’s issues

  • Project coordination skills

  • Experience/knowledge of accreditation and its procedures

  • Good Communication and negotiating skills

  • Commitment to equal opportunities

  • IT skills

  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable

  • Adult Teaching qualification

  • Internal Verifier Certificate

  • An informed understanding of the requirements of the Adult Learning Inspectorate

  • Proven experience of relating to funders and funding organisations

  • Proven experience of monitoring and evaluation

  • Proven experience of handling and maintaining budgets

  • Proven experience of the Voluntary /Community Sector

  • Proven experience of Individual Learner Records and paper work associated with students training
