The Council are planning to make Spital Hill:
“More attractive to shoppers, to improve the economic vitality of the area and encourage the creation of new business and expansion of existing ones.”
Space has been allocated for a 26- stall market. The plans also show a town garden with colourful flowers and planting, public art, play areas and improved seating.
Safety railings will provide reassurance for parents. The current toilets would be demolished, with Sorby House’s available during the working day.
