The green city stewards have now finished painting the play equipment at Denholme Close open space and what a difference a coat of paint makes. ‘Bright and vibrant’ is how one resident described it and who are we to argue. It will be great to see the swings reinstated for the kids to use, especially now the area around the playground has been cut back to make it much more visible and safer to use.

Ellesmere Park cut back

The team have also been responding to requests from residents on Maxwell Way to cut back the overgrown shrubs and trees on Ellesmere Park that backs onto their homes. A consultation event was held and we were pleased that residents took time out to tell us of their aspirations for this space. If you want to see green spaces, near where you live improved, however big or small, then please get in touch with us on 244 0353. Working together we will ‘Deliver It Green’.

Free spring bulbs

Sheffield City Council is offering free spring bulbs for neighbourhood planting again this year. We would like to take the best possible advantage of this offer. If you would like to see daffs and crocuses flowering near where you live next spring, get in touch with us and we will help organise a bulb planting day near you.
