The Children and Young People’s Empowerment Project (CHILYPEP) is a registered charity that has worked with Children and Young People across Sheffield for over 5 years. The purpose of our work is to support children and young people to be actively involved in decision- making processes, which affect their lives.

The project is recruiting to the following post:

Project Funding Development Manager (Ref CHILYPEP/FDM)

  • 18.5 Hours per week (2.5 days per week)

  • Salary scale. NJC PO2 £26,703 – £31,557 P/A pro rata (under review)

The purpose of the job is to lead the development of charitable fundraising at CHILYPEP and contribute to its overall management, especially in relation to funding.

You will need:

  • Three years’ successful experience of charitable fundraising

  • Experience of raising funds from charitable trusts

  • Experience of raising funds from individual and/or corporate donors

  • Two years’ experience of managing staff

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • A real commitment to Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discriminatory Practice.

Closing date 5.00pm Friday 1st December 2006.

Interviews to be held week beginning 4th December.

The post-holder will be required to undergo a criminal Records Bureau Check.
