Caribbean Sports Recruiting Adult Footballers

The Caribbean Sports Club’s adult football team narrowly missed out on promotion to the first division, finishing fourth.

Injury problems and the size of the squad meant that they were unable to finish as strongly as they had hoped. “We were disappointed not to get promoted,” said team coach Andy Kiwomya, “But we improved a lot from last season when we finished fourth from bottom.”

“The Messenger has really made a difference to what we’re doing. We have received a lot of support from the community because of it.”

Anyone interested in joining the team is invited to attend a try-out, further details will be announced in the next Messenger. The team is open to anyone over the age of 18, from any section of the community.

The Caribbean Sports Club is holding its AGM on Sunday 14th May 2006 from 6–8pm at SADACCA and anyone interested in becoming a member should attend.
