Supporters of BCR (Burngreave Community Radio) are celebrating after a recent Ofcom decision to give the station a five-year licence to broadcast across this community and surrounding areas.
The station now needs a range of volunteer help to make the dream a reality, including help with radio presenting, programming, advertising, music, fund raising, committee-work and more.
If you would like to get involved in any of the above, help reshape the BCR group and make this broadcasting licence work and become successful, please come to:

Ski permission
On Tuesday 21st February, the Council Planning Board gave outline planning permission to the Ski Village for the next stage of their development.
They plan to build a ‘snow mountain’ which includes a mixture of leisure and retail facilities including a cable car from Infirmary Road, an indoor real snow hall for skiers and boarders, restaurants, a 100-bed hotel and Swissstyle chalets for holiday lets.
More detailed plans will now be submitted to the Council for scrutiny.
Kashmir fundraiser
Kashmir Curry Centre owner B’sharath would like to congratulate his customers, who raised £2,840 during ‘The Kashmir for Kashmir’ week. Meals were sold for £10 of which £5 went to the appeal. Money raised will be split between Christian Aid and the Minhaj Welfare Foundation. Thanks to everyone who made a donation.
