Adam Deeley, a 15-year-old student at Firth Park Secondary school, has just completed a two week placement at MM Design, a leading graphic design agency in Sheffield.
Adam won the opportunity to work with MM Design to design a new logo for the Burngreave Business Forum in a competition at the Burngreave Enterprise Event earlier this year. Burngreave Business Forum is a 50 membership organisation that works to support businesses in the area.
“I now have more skills and experience which will really help me in future. Working alongside professionals has raised my expectations on my own work. When I have completed my studies and graduated from University I would like to start my own business. The work over the past two weeks is what I expected but the experience has been much, much better than I ever expected,” said Adam.
MM Design’s creative director, Patrick Ross was very impressed at the speed with which he adapted to the professional environment.
“He grasped the new technology very quickly and used them very well to design a professional logo. I can’t express how astounded we were at his ability to grasp a concept and then turn it into reality.”
