On Thursday 9th February, the Minister for Women, Meg Munn MP, and the government’s Equality team organised a ‘Have Your Say’ event at Sheffield Hallam University for women to put issues they see as important forward to government.
First Meg Munn visited the new Women’s Construction Centre, above the Hindu Temple in Buckenham Street. She listened to the aspirations of women doing a plastering course to undertake further training. Meg looked forward to opening the new businesses that some were planning.
This course is sponsored by the Community Foundation Community Champions Fund and each week eight women spend time under expert tuition restoring one of Burngeave’s old buildings.
