Over 25O people attended Sheffield Chambers’ black and minority ethnic (BME) business forum’s Moving Forward event in February.
Pupils from Fir Vale School attended and performed Caribbean steel band; santur and tabla duet and Bollywood dancing. Their involvement enabled some to gain a work placement.
Bernadette Grocock, Sheffield BME Forum Co-ordinator, said: “The work placements are an excellent way of getting young people motivated by learning from role models. It enables them to gain an early insight into business development and will hopefully inspire them to become the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
